Smallholder Behavioural Decisions During Times of Drought Stress

Samantha Dobbie | Published Sunday, September 15, 2013 | Last modified Saturday, September 27, 2014

An empirical ABM of smallholder decisions in times of drought stress.

Endogenous Dynamics of Housing Market Cycles

Onur Özgün Birnur Özbaş Yaman Barlas | Published Monday, September 09, 2013 | Last modified Wednesday, January 08, 2014

The purpose of this model is to analyze the dynamics of endogenously created oscillations in housing prices using a system dynamics simulation model, built from the perspective of construction companies.

This model was design to test parameters that affects the number of people shot during mass shooting. This basic formulation places a gunman in a crowd and allows the users to manipulate parameters of the gunman.

A Modelling4All/NetLogo model of the Spanish Flu Pandemic

Ken Kahn | Published Monday, August 05, 2013 | Last modified Monday, August 05, 2013

A global model of the 1918-19 Influenza Pandemic. It can be run to match history or explore counterfactual questions about the influence of World War I on the dynamics of the epidemic. Explores two theories of the location of the initial infection.

Comparing agent-based models on experimental data of irrigation games

Marco Janssen Jacopo A. Baggio | Published Tuesday, July 02, 2013 | Last modified Wednesday, July 03, 2013

Comparing 7 alternative models of human behavior and assess their performance on a high resolution dataset based on individual behavior performance in laboratory experiments.

Market for Protection

Steven Doubleday | Published Monday, July 01, 2013 | Last modified Monday, August 19, 2013

Simulation to replicate and extend an analytical model (Konrad & Skaperdas, 2010) of the provision of security as a collective good. We simulate bandits preying upon peasants in an anarchy condition.

Agent-based model of risk behavior in adolescence

N Schuhmacher P Van Geert L Ballato | Published Monday, June 24, 2013 | Last modified Monday, April 08, 2019

The computer model simulates the development of a social network (i.e. formation of friendships and cliques), the (dyadic) interactions between pupils and the development of similarities and differences in their behavioral profiles.

We reconstruct Cohen, March and Olsen’s Garbage Can model of organizational choice as an agent-based model. We add another means for avoiding making decisions: buck-passing difficult problems to colleagues.

This model, realized on the NetLogo platform, compares utility levels at home and abroad to simulate agents’ migration and their eventual return. Our model is based on two fundamental individual features, i.e. risk aversion and initial expectation, which characterize the dynamics of different agents according to the evolution of their social contacts.

An agent-based model generating social practices

Georg Holtz | Published Tuesday, June 04, 2013 | Last modified Thursday, January 30, 2014

This model expands approaches from social practice theories and is used to investigate the ability of the underlying conceptual model to explain the emergence of social practices, defined as routine behaviour that is similar amoung peers.
