Peer reviewed Horse population dynamics

Nika Galic | Published Tuesday, November 12, 2013 | Last modified Wednesday, October 29, 2014

This model investigates the link between prescribed growth in body size, population dynamics and density dependence through population feedback on available resources.

Human mate choice is a complex system

Paul Smaldino Jeffrey C Schank | Published Friday, February 08, 2013 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

A general model of human mate choice in which agents are localized in space, interact with close neighbors, and tend to range either near or far. At the individual level, our model uses two oft-used but incompletely understood decision rules: one based on preferences for similar partners, the other for maximally attractive partners.

François Rebaudo | Published Wednesday, August 29, 2012 | Last modified Monday, October 13, 2014

SimAdapt: An individual-based genetic model for simulating landscape management impacts on populations

Landscape connectivity and predator–prey population dynamics

Jacopo A. Baggio | Published Thursday, November 10, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

A simple model to assess the effect of connectivity on interacting species (i.e. predator-prey type)

Replication of ECEC model: Environmental Feedback and the Evolution of Cooperation

Pierre Bommel | Published Tuesday, April 05, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

The model, presented here, is a re-implementation of the Pepper and Smuts’ model : - Pepper, J.W. and B.B. Smuts. 2000. “The evolution of cooperation in an ecological context: an agent-based model”. Pp. 45-76 in T.A. Kohler and G.J. Gumerman, eds. Dynamics of human and primate societies: agent-based modeling of social and spatial processes. Population Dynamics of Emerald Ash Borer

mpeters | Published Monday, December 13, 2010 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

This model was developed as part of a class project, and explores the population dynamics and spread of an invasive insect, Emerald Ash Borer, in a county.

Peer reviewed Artificial Anasazi

Marco Janssen | Published Tuesday, September 07, 2010 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

Replication of the well known Artificial Anasazi model that simulates the population dynamics between 800 and 1350 in the Long House Valley in Arizona.
