A simulation tool for capability-based team task allocation in emergency-responce environments

Afsaneh Fatemi | Published Wednesday, March 16, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

Its a multi agent simulation environment, provided using JADE/Java. It gets the number of agents and tasks, then divides the physical environment to some segments, and then runs a greedy capability-based coalition formation and task allocation algorithm to assign tasks to groups of agents and complete the tasks.

Agent-based model of risk behavior in adolescence

N Schuhmacher P Van Geert L Ballato | Published Monday, June 24, 2013 | Last modified Monday, April 08, 2019

The computer model simulates the development of a social network (i.e. formation of friendships and cliques), the (dyadic) interactions between pupils and the development of similarities and differences in their behavioral profiles.

A fisher directed management system was describeded by Hart (2021). It was proposed that fishers should only be allowed to exploit a resource if they collaborated in a resource management system for which they would own and be collectively responsible for. As part of the system fishers would need to follow the rules of exploitation set by the group and provide a central unit with data with which to monitor the fishery. Any fisher not following the rules would at first be fined but eventually expelled from the fishery if he/she continued to act selfishly. This version of the model establishes the dynamics of a fleet of vessels and controls overfishing by imposing fines on fishers whose income is low and who are tempted to keep fishing beyond the set quota which is established each year depending on the abundance of the fish stock. This version will later be elaborated to have interactions between the fishers including pressure to comply with the norms set by the group and which could lead to a stable management system.

Homophily and Distance Depending Network Generation for Modelling Opinion Dynamics

Sascha Holzhauer | Published Wednesday, August 22, 2012 | Last modified Tuesday, June 18, 2013

The model uses opinion dynamics to test a simple and ecient but empirically based approach for generating social networks in spatial agent-based models which explicitly takes into account restrictions and opportunities imposed by effects of baseline homophily and considers the probability of links that depends on geographical distance between potential partners.

FlowLogo integrates agent-based and groundwater flow simulation. It aims to simplify the process of developing participatory ABMs in the groundwater space and begin the exploration of novel, bottom-up solutions to conflicts in shared aquifers.

Comparing impact of alternative behavioral theories in a simple social-ecological system.

RefugeePathSIM Model

Liliana Perez Saeed Harati Guillaume Arnoux Hébert | Published Thursday, October 11, 2018 | Last modified Tuesday, October 16, 2018

RefugeePathSIM is an agent-based model to simulate the movement behavior of refugees in order to identify pathways of forced migration under crisis. The model generates migrants and lets them leave conflict areas for a destination that they choose based on their characteristics and desires. RefugeePathSIM has been developed and applied in a study of the Syrian war, using monthly data in years 2011-2015.

Landscape connectivity and predator–prey population dynamics

Jacopo A. Baggio | Published Thursday, November 10, 2011 | Last modified Saturday, April 27, 2013

A simple model to assess the effect of connectivity on interacting species (i.e. predator-prey type)

Social model of a Team Developing a Planning-Methodology

Oswaldo Terán Christophe Sibertin | Published Monday, November 18, 2013 | Last modified Sunday, November 16, 2014

The model represents a team intended at designing a methodology for Institutional Planning. Included in ICAART’14 to exemplify how emotions can be identified in SocLab; and in ESSA’14 to show the Efficiency of Organizational Withdrawal vs Commitment.
