Call for applications to organize a 2022 CECAM-Lorentz funded workshop on modeling

Dear Colleague,

The CECAM-Lorentz collaboration calls for scientists who want to organize the eighth annual CECAM-Lorentz Workshop 2022, to be held at CECAM HQ, Lausanne, Switzerland, in the second half of 2022 or the start of 2023.

The CECAM-Lorentz program funds an annual workshop in computational simulation and modeling and its applications. Strongly interdisciplinary computational science topics, targeting discussions and new synergies between different communities from the natural/exact sciences are welcomed. Organizing teams and participant lists that reflect this interdisciplinary spirit are strongly encouraged.

Diversity, both in gender and geographical provenance, of organizers and participants are equally encouraged and will be considered in the evaluation of the proposals.

We seek an innovative scientific program that takes us beyond our current boundaries in an open and interactive format with few lectures.

In the first round, a 1-page pre-proposal, should be submitted through
https://www.cecam.org/submit-lorentz-proposal This call is open until November 1st 2021. Short-listed pre-proposals will be invited to present a full application by 15 December 2021. The final outcome will be communicated at the end of January 2022.

We will be grateful if you can distribute the link of the call: lorentzcenter.nl/cecam-lorentz- call.html
