This is a simplified version of Edmonds, Bruce, Lessard-Phillips, Laurence, Fieldhouse, Ed (2014, October 13). “A Complex Model of Voter Turnout” (Version 1). CoMSES Computational Model Library. Retrieved from: https://www.openabm.org/model/4368/version/1, developed to better understand the mechanisms at play on that model.
It is a model of social influence in voting. It consists on a population of agents that age, emigrate, immigrate, give birth and die. They are embedded in a social network through which they carry out political conversations that affect their propensity to vote in a series of periodic elections.
