Dr. Leonardo Campos focuses his research on agent-based modelling and computational neuroscience, with an emphasis on bioinspired systems, collective behaviour and the verification of stochastic simulation models. He received his PhD in Computational Biology from Universidad San Sebastián (2026), with a thesis on self and situational awareness in agent-based systems. He has co-authored four indexed articles on the effects of nanosecond pulsed electric fields on voltage-sensing proteins. He is a member of the Bioinspired Artificial Intelligence Lab and coordinates the Robotics Unit at Fundación Ciencia & Vida, where he has supervised nine undergraduate engineering internships.
