Agent-based modelling of land use change is an important and promising area of research. Tools developed at UoE including the CRAFTY framework
(Competition for Resources between Agent Functional Types) allow agent-based modelling at various scales to take account of the behaviour of
actors within the land system, exploring reactions to coming challenges in land use. They therefore help to create visions towards a sustainable future.
