Simulation to replicate and extend an analytical model (Konrad & Skaperdas, 2010) of the provision of security as a collective good. We simulate bandits preying upon peasants in an anarchy condition.

This model uses ’satisficing’ as a model for farmers’ decision making to learn about influences of alternative decision-making models on simulation results and to exemplify a way to transform a rather theoretical concept into a feasible decision-making model for agent-based farming models.

In this Repast model the ‘Consumat’ cognitive framework is applied to an ABM of the Dutch car market. Different policy scenarios can be selected or created to examine their effect on the diffusion of EVs.

The program simulate the functioning of an italian health and social public information office (SPUN) on the basis of the real data collected in the first five years of functioning.

Spatiotemporal Visualization of Emotional and Emotional-related Mental States

Luis Macedo | Published Mon Nov 7 11:59:03 2011 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:48 2013

A system that receives from an agent-based social simulation the agent’s emotional data, their emotional-related data such as motivations and beliefs, as well as their location, and visualizes of all this information in a two dimensional map of the geographic region the agents inhabit as well as on graphs along the time dimension.

Replication of ECEC model: Environmental Feedback and the Evolution of Cooperation

The model, presented here, is a re-implementation of the Pepper and Smuts’ model : - Pepper, J.W. and B.B. Smuts. 2000. “The evolution of cooperation in an ecological context: an agent-based model”. Pp. 45-76 in T.A. Kohler and G.J. Gumerman, eds. Dynamics of human and primate societies: agent-based modeling of social and spatial processes. An Agent-Based Model of Collective Action

Hai-Hua Hu | Published Tue Aug 20 16:45:15 2013

We provide an agent-based model of collective action, informed by Granovetter (1978) and its replication model by Siegel (2009). We use the model to examine the role of ICTs in collective action under different cultural and political contexts.

This Python module contain a function that is able to test the ergodicity of a given agent based model. It is sufficient to produce one long time series and many smaller time series. The function uses

Stationarity Test

Jakob Grazzini | Published Mon Nov 29 19:26:39 2010 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:48 2013

This is a stationarity test, it tests whether a given moment is constant during the time series (null hypothesis). The Wald Wolfowitz nonparametric fitness test is applied to time series.

The Effect of Merger and Acquisitions on the IS Function: An Agent Based Simulation Model

Andrea Genovese | Published Tue Jun 23 11:39:00 2009 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:51 2013

Merger and acquisition (M&A) activity has many strategic and operational objectives. One operational objective is to develop common and efficient information systems that maybe the source of creating
