Computational Model Library

I model a forest and a community of loggers. Agents follow different kinds of rules in order to log. I compare the impact of endogenous and of exogenous institutions on the state of the forest and on the profit of the users, representing different scenarios of participatory conservation projects.

Land Use in the Chitwan Valley

Alex Zvoleff | Published Mon Jun 2 01:42:22 2014

chitwanabm is a spatially explicit agent-based model of population and land use in the Chitwan Valley, Nepal, designed to explore feedbacks between population and environment, with a heavy focus on community context and individual-level variation.

Interactions between organizations and social networks in common-pool resource governance

Phesi Project | Published Mon Oct 29 21:14:47 2012 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:37 2013

Explores how social networks affect implementation of institutional rules in a common pool resource.

PR-M: The Peer Review Model

Francisco Grimaldo Mario Paolucci | Published Sun Nov 10 12:55:52 2013 | Last modified Wed Jul 1 15:44:39 2015

This is an agent-based model of peer review built on the following three entities: papers, scientists and conferences. The model has been implemented on a BDI platform (Jason) that allows to perform both parameter and mechanism exploration.

This model simulates networking mechanisms of an empirical social network. It correlates event determinants with place-based geography and social capital production.

An agent-based model to study the effects of urban sprawl on bird distribution

Yun Ouyang | Published Tue Dec 16 01:58:37 2008 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:23 2013

This model was programmed for a class project, which studied the effects of urban sprawl on bird distribution. For the urban sprawl part of the model, we started from the model in (udhira, H. S., 200

Endogenous Dynamics of Housing Market Cycles

Birnur Özbaş Onur Özgün Yaman Barlas | Published Mon Sep 9 16:11:20 2013 | Last modified Wed Jan 8 16:24:39 2014

The purpose of this model is to analyze the dynamics of endogenously created oscillations in housing prices using a system dynamics simulation model, built from the perspective of construction companies.

FLOSSSim: An Agent-Based Model of the Free/Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) Development Process

Nicholas Radtke | Published Sat Dec 31 01:33:55 2011 | Last modified Sat Apr 27 20:18:32 2013

An agent-based model of the Free/Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) development process designed around agents selecting FLOSS projects to contribute to and/or download.
